Comprehensive Financial Planning
WHAT WILL YOU GET?
A comprehensive financial plan. Sounds intimidating? No worries. I am going to break it down into short to-do list after each call. The topics covered in the plan are: A review of your current student loan repayment (if needed), insurance needs, debt repayment, savings, investments, tax planning, education planning, estate planning, and career advice/salary negotiation (if needed). This will be a fully customized plan on which we will work over 6-12 months (on average).
- You will get separate investment recommendation for any workplace retirement plans such as 401(k), 403(b) or 457.
- A review of your current credit cards and whether they align with your spending needs and habits.
- Recommendations for other professionals you might need such as an estate planning attorney, CPA, mortgage broker, or real estate agent.
This is how it generally goes:
An initial virtual working session in which we will go over your goals and dreams. Together, we will figure out where you are right now and where you would like to be in the future.
We will have calls as often as needed, with the initial target being every 4-6 weeks. After each call, you will get an executive summary with a step-by-step action plan broken into categories: immediate, in a few months, and in a few years. The categories will vary based on your individual circumstances.
Follow up calls every few months to re-assess your plan and make any needed adjustments. If your situation changes between our scheduled calls, we will meet as needed.
Unlimited email support for a year.
HOW MUCH WILL THIS COST?
The cost includes a total fee ranging from $3,600 to $5,000, payable monthly or quarterly over a year.
A typical plan for one person is $3,600 and for a couple, $4,800. Plans involving business planning, stock options or other specialized needs will be quoted after an initial assessment of the work scope.
WHAT ELSE DO YOU NEED TO KNOW?
In addition to financial planning, I provide investment management services. This includes rolling over old employer plans into traditional and Roth IRAs and setting up brokerage accounts. The fee structure for investment management can be found under Services. If we decide that it is in your best interest for me to manage your money, the fee will be credited towards financial planning (you will only pay for one, not two, services).
